The cottage comes with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a garden and lovely views. Cordes-sur-Ciel is a fortified town which dates back to 1222. It is located in the Tarn department, just 1 hour north of Toulouse. The nearest large town is Albi, which has a good range of shops, restaurants and a beautiful Cathedral.

The cottage is a detached property in a rural setting. It is located just 3kms from Cordes-sur-Ciel and provides beautiful views of the town. The cottage is laid out over 2 floors and features exposed beams, stone walls, gas central heating and WiFi.
Ground floor
The ground floor provides a beautiful open plan living room, a bedroom and a bathroom.
- The wonderful kitchen is the real heart of the home and features an enormous central island, a large Fridge-Freezer, double oven, hob and plenty of cooking utensils
- Next to the kitchen there is a utility room with washing machine and additional storage
- The lounge comes with 2 comfortable sofas, 2 armchairs and tables and lamps.
- The lounge has lovely views up to the gallery above and the double height ceiling
- Next to the lounge there is the dining room. This is a beautiful room featuring exposed walls, beams and a set of French windows providing access to the garden. The dining table can seat 6-8 people.
- There is a bedroom with a comfy double bed, chest of drawers, beside cabinets and a wardrobe. There is a set of French windows which provide access onto a small terrace.
- Next to the bedroom there is a bathroom with a bath, separate shower, WC and wash basin
First floor
The first floor contains 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It features a beautiful gallery, which looks down on the living room.
- The gallery area above the living room contains the home office. This also features a sofa and book shelves and is a lovely quiet space to read.
- Bedroom 1 comes with a double bed, storage and an en suite bathroom (with a beautiful bath, separate shower, wash basin and toilet).
- Bedroom 2 also has a double bed, bedside cabinets and a wardrobe.
- The bathroom contains a shower, WC and wash basin.
Outside
The cottage comes with a lovely mature garden. There are several terrace areas, all with lovely views. The main terrace features a lovely gazebo decorated with climbing roses and Jasmine. There is a large patio table and chairs. This spot in particular offers lovely views over the open fields towards Cordes-sur-Ciel. The main feature of the garden is a beautiful pond.
There is private parking for 2 cars.

This cottage in Cordes-sur-Ciel is available for long term rentals for up to 12 months. The monthly rental price does not include the utility bills (there is a provision of €300 per month towards the electricity, water, WiFi and communal taxes). Cordes-sur-Ciel is a commune in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region of Southern France. The fortified town was built in 1222 by Raimond VII, the Count of Toulouse, who, though not a Cathar, tolerated what other Catholics considered heresy
Albi is a town on the Tarn River in southern France, northeast of Toulouse. Dominating the skyline is the 13th-century, red-brick Sainte-Cécile Cathedral, a Gothic landmark with large interior frescoes such as the dramatic “Last Judgment.” The centuries-old Palais de la Berbie houses the Musée Toulouse-Lautrec, honoring the Albi-born painter. The Fashion Museum, in a former convent, shows 18th–20th-century costumes.

There is a regular bus service from Cordes-sur-Ciel to Albi (6-9 services per day). The nearest train station is located at CORDES-VINDRAC, 5kms away. TGV train services can be taken from Toulouse or Montauban.
