This 1 bed apartment for long term rentals is situated in the Old Town of Beziers in Southern France. Beziers is a small city of 80,000 inhabitants, located 10 km from the Mediterranean coast. The city is famous for Rugby, Wine and the Feria, its raucus summer festival. Beziers is a town in transition, with money pouring in from property investors and developers, especially into the central Cathedral district, where this apartment is located.
The apartment has been completely renovated and it provides comfortable accommodation for a single person or couple. The apartment is located on the ground floor and comes with an open plan living room, a modern shower room and a cool bedroom located in the former cave of the house, where the thick stone walls keep the room at an even temperature of 19°C throughout the year.
The apartment is available for long term rentals of up to 12 months from €575 euros per month + bills.

The apartment is located on the ground floor of an 18th Century townhouse. There is a communal entrance shared by the other 2 apartments. The apartment has its own secure entrance door.
- The kitchen comes equipped with a hob, air fryer, fridge and plenty of storage space. The apartment has a set of plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. For guests staying for longer periods, there is space in the kitchen for the installation of an electric oven or a small dishwasher.
- There is a breakfast bar with stools next to the kitchen.
- The lounge area has a comfortable sofa (which folds out to form a double bed) and a wall-mounted TV with international channels).
- There is a laundry/storage area which houses the washing machine.
- The bathroom contains a shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
- Steps take you down to the large bedroom. This features a double bed with an overhead single bed, a desk and a hanging rail. The bedroom is located in the stone cellar of the town house and the thick walls keep the bedroom an even temperature all year around. The modern (silent) ventilation system keeps the bedroom feeling fresh.
Outside
- The apartment is located in the popular Cathedral district of Beziers Old Town. You can walk to the neighbourhood cafes, restaurants and shops. The area is safe and in the last few years the district has become a popular area for property investors who have purchased many of the town houses for renovation.
- Beziers train station is a 10 mins walk and has fast TGV trains up to Paris and down to Barcelona.
- The central area of Beziers, Allée Paul Riquet, is a 5 mins walk from the apartment.

Last visited: August 2024. This long term rental apartment in the centre of Beziers provides cheap accommodation for a single person or couple in this beautiful Southern French town. The apartment has everything you need for a long stay and with everything within walking distance in Beziers - shops, restaurants, train station, bus station, etc - you will not need a car during your stay. If you do choose to bring your car, then close to the apartment there are 2 secure car parks which offer competitive prices on monthly parking tickets.

Area activities
There is much to do in Beziers, strolling along the beautiful alleys of the Old Town and shopping in the small shops. Visit one of the many restaurants, go to the theater or visit Friday´s flower market or Saturday´s antique market. During the summer, the city is buzzing with activities with various festivals and music events.
The Mediterranean coast is a short drive or bus journey away and offers fantastic beaches, ranging from wild beaches in Serignan and Vendres to chic promenades in Grau d´Agde and Valras plage.
Beziers, is the capital of the World´s largest wine regions and most of the local wineries are open to visitors and you can try their wines. A tour of the region´s villages is also recommended.
Pezenas which is a fantastic little town with a rich cultural life inspired by Moliere, has a large market every Saturday and a food & wine festival every Friday night during July and August. Pezenas has over 60 antique shops and over 30 restaurants.
Agde is one of France´s oldest cities and lies at the river Herault´s outflow. The town has some nice restaurants and beautiful beaches. Cap Agde has the Mediterranean´s largest marina and there is plenty of activities from water sports to amusement parks and an excellent golf course.
Other transport
There is a fast TGV train from Paris direct to Beziers, that takes about 4 hours.
Airports
Beziers airport is very easy to get to, direct flights with Ryanair from Bristol, Edinburgh, London Luton, Stansted, Manchester and Stockholm (Skavsta).
Montpellier Airport is 35 kilometers away and has several routes to Sweden and Copenhagen with Norwegian Air and to the UK with Easyjet (Bristol, Gatwick and Luton).
Driving directions
Beziers is well connected to the local motorway network, with both the A75 and A9 motorways joining just west of the town.
