You approach the apartment through a stone archway into a large courtyard, containing the ancient Watch tower and crenallated castle walls. The apartment is located on the first floor and is accessed via a 17th Century stone staircase (officially classified as an historic monument in France). The apartment comes with Wi-Fi and gas central heating and electric radiators.
First floor
- You enter the apartment into the large entrance hall/sitting room. This room features a stone fireplace, antique chairs and period features.
- The entrance hall leads to the 'Angel Room' - which was formerly the music room of the Chateau and features a stunning Fresco on the ceiling.
- Bedroom 1 is located just off the Angel Room and is fitted with a double bed and en suite bathroom. The bathroom comes with a walk-in shower and wash basin.
- A small corridor leads down to the kitchen, lounge, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.
- The kitchen is equipped an oven, gas hob, microwave, large fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and plenty of cooking utensils.
- Bedroom 2 comes with a double bed and wardrobe.
- Bedroom 3 is fitted with 2 single beds.
- The bathroom features a shower, wash basin and a separate WC.
- The spacious lounge comes with a working fireplace, large sofa, book cases and a table and chairs. The lounge has a large set of patio doors which open out onto the terrace.

What a stunning place to spend a few months in Southern France. This apartment for long term rentals can comfortably accommodate a couple or a small family. Inside the apartment comes with a stunning ancient ceiling fresco and a number of period features. Parts of the apartment (kitchen and bathroom) are a little tired and dated, but it provides comfortable and spacious accoommodation and the beautiful views and location are the key attractions.
Château de Savignac is conveniently located close to Beziers (for the airport, TGV and motorway) and provides easy access to the Mediterranean beaches, Languedoc vineyards and stunning countryside of the Black mountains nearby.

Château de Savignac-le-Haut is a former Watchtower owned by the Abbey of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières. Parts of the building date back to the 12th, 13th and 17th Centuries. The Chateau is surrounded by 1.5 hectares of woodland and provides total peace and tranquillity.
The Chateau is just a short drive to the village of Cazouls-les-Beziers, which provides a good range of local services such as supermarkets, restaurants, boulangeries, a florist, butcher and pharmacy.
The nearby city of Beziers provides all the shopping and services that you will need. Beziers has an international airport, TGV train station and 2 motorways pass close-by, which provide fast routes up to Paris and Lyon and down to Perpignan and Spain. The Mediterranean beaches are just 10 mins from Beziers, with some of the more popular beaches including Vias Plage, Serignan Plage and Valras Plage.
The Languedoc is the largest wine region in the World and nearby you will find excellent vineyards in Saint Chinian, Faugeres and the Minervois.
Other transport
There is a TGV train station in Beziers, with services to Barcelona, Paris, Marseille and Toulouse.
There is a regular bus service between Cazouls-les-Beziers and Beziers.
