The town is also very accessible, with its own airport, a railway station and a motroway running past the town to the South.
This apartment comes with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, living room and kitchen. There is Wi-Fi and the apartment is heated by electric radiators throughout. The apartment has its own private entry.

The apartment is located on the first floor of an old town house, just a short walk from the centre of the town.
- The spacious living room comes with a large sofa and occasional tables. The tall windows allow plenty of light to flood into the room.
- The kitchen comes equipped with an oven and hob, fridge, kettle and plenty of storage space. There is a dining table in the kitchen with seating for 4 people.
- Bedroom 1 is fitted with a double bed + a single bed.
- Bedroom 2 has a double bed.
- The bathroom features a modern walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.

This is a very convenient long term rental property in South France. The apartment is located right in the heart of Carcassonne, with everything on your doorstep - shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. Carcassonne also has a local airport with flights to the UK and Ireland. There is a train station in the town, with services to Bordeaux, Toulouse, Marseille, Montpellier and Narbonne (where you can pick up the TGV to Paris).
The apartment is basically furnished, so potential tenants may want to bring additional furnishings to make the apartment more cozy and comfortable for a long stay.

Carcassonne is a town which is split in two halves, separated by the Aude river. The main part of the town is built around the medieval Bastide and is often referred to as the Ville Basse, due to its location below the higher ground on which the castle is built. The second area of Cacassonne is called the Cité and comprises the fortified castle. Thiis the largest fortified town in Europe and it is the second most-visited historic monument in France. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site
The second UNESCO World Heritage Site in Carcassonne, is the Canal du Midi, which flows through the centre of the town on its journey from Toulouse in the West to the Mediterranean coast in the East.
Carcassonne has a huge selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, together with the many shops, museums, a theate and cinemas. There is a weekly market and you can cycle along the Canal du Midi to local villages or rent a boat. Carcassonne enjoys an international reputation and welcomes several million visitors every year.
Carcassonne Airport is well serviced by Ryanair with flights from all over Europe.

Carcassonne Railway Station is 13 minutes walk from the apartment. You can catch trains to Bordeaux, Toulouse, Narbonne, Perpignan, Montpellier and Marseille.
