This 2 bedroom cottage provides comfortable accommodation for a couple and contains exposed oak beams, a private terrace and plenty of original features.

The cottage is located on a former farm in a rural area on the edge of the Loire Valley. The cottage is laid out over 2 floors and comes with a private garden.
Ground floor
- There is a large open-plan living room with original oak beams.
- The lounge comes with Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The lounge opens out onto its own private terrace with table/chairs and BBQ.
- The kitchen is fully-equipped with a full size oven, microwave and large fridge/freezer
- Twin bedroom with two single beds
- The bathroom has a walk in shower and heated towel rail.
First floor
- Double bedroom with fitted wardrobe.
Outside: there is a Private terrace with BBQ, table and chairs. Secure on-site parking. There is a separate outbuilding with laundry facilities.

This cottage in the Loire Valley can be rented between October to May for monthly rentals. The utility bills are paid in addition to the monthly rent (there is a monthly provision of €200 towards the electricity, water and Wi-Fi).

Due to the furnishings and flooring of this property, unfortunately it is not suitable for pets.
Long term rentals Loire Valley France - our opinion
This is a quite and relaxing property in a beautiful area of rural France. The cottage is well connected to 2 local airports and the TGV train service to Paris. This property will ideally suit a couple with occasional guests. The twin bedroom is accessed by an open staircase and a low door, and may not suitable for the elderly or very young.

This cottage for long term rental is located on the border of the Vienne and Indre-et-Loire departments in the Loire Valley. This area of France is characteristically French with numerous Chateaux, rolling vineyards and meandering rivers. Nearby you will find a host of restaurants, weekly markets and French antique markets.
Les Coindries is 7km south of Richelieu, with its famous Chateau and park. A further 20 minutes drive takes you to the lovely fortress town of Chinon, where Joan of Arc was once imprisoned. The town of Saumur can be reached in 30 mins with its fairy-tale castle with a glistening gold fleur de lies.
The Futuroscope theme park is about 25km away, close to the city of Poitiers.
Other transport
The nearby town of Châtellerault has a train station with TGV services to Paris and Bordeaux.
Airports
The historic towns of Tours (north) and Poitiers (south) are approximately 45 minutes drive away. Both have regular flights from the UK to their airports via Ryanair.
Driving directions
Sérigny is located close to the A10 motorway which runs up from Bordeaux and Poitiers in the South to Tours, Orleans and Paris in the North.

One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation. For rentals of 3 months and less, the rent should be paid in full prior to arrival. For rentals of 3 months of more, the rent can be paid on the first day of each month. There is a €100 monthly provision towards the electricity, water and internet. References maybe required. Pets maybe accepted through prior agreement of the Owner. Minimum stay is normally 3 months.
