Dordogne cottage for long term rentals - facilities
The cottage is an 18th century Dovecote that is laid out over 3 floors. The cottage features exposed beams and brickwork.
Ground floor
- The entrance to the cottage is via the covered terrace.
- The kitchen looks out over open meadows. It is fully-equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, built-in oven, fridge with freezer section, Food Processor, electric coffee maker, kettle and toaster. There is plenty of cooking utensils, plates and cutlery.
- There is a dining room with a large table and chairs, an antique armoire, desk (with broadband internet access) and a small library.
- The living room is furnished with two leather sofas, a coffee table and a TV with a DVD player and UK TV channels. There is a a wood burning stove.
- This cottage is equipped with gas central heating and a wood burning stove - the wood comes from the farm.
- Bedroom 1 is on the ground floor and comes with a king-size double bed (160cm) and an en-suite bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with 2 bedside tables and a wardrobe with shelves and hanging space. The bathroom contains a shower and wash basin. There is a separate toilet next to the bedroom.
First floor
Le Pigeonnier has two staircases which lead to the first floor bedrooms (and up to the attic).
- Bedroom 2 comes with a double bed (140m), 2 bedside tables and a wardrobe. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath, wash basin and toilet.
- Bedroom 3 is furnished with a double bed (140m), 2 bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a dresser. This bedroom also has wash basin.
- Next to the bedroom there is a shower room with a walk-in shower, toilet and a wash basin.
Second floor
- In the attic (which was once the Dovecote), there is Bedroom 4, a large room ideal for children.
- The beautiful original oak frame of the roof has been preserved, along with the wicker pigeon nesting boxes and the small holes in the walls (now glazed) through which the birds entered.
- The bedroom contains 3 single beds and 2 bedside tables There is also a chest of drawers and a wardrobe.
Outside:
- There is an enclosed garden of about 1000 m2, which has a swing for the children, a ping-pong table in the garage and a lawn area with a covered terrace.
- There is also a covered terrace next to the cottage which has a barbecue and seating area with table.
- The swimming pool (8m x 4m) is open from end May to mid-September. The pool is surrounded by a security gate.

Le Pigeonnier cottage in Dordogne, France; is available for long term rentals between September and June. Linen and towels can be provided. There is a monthly provision of €260 towards the electricity, Wi-Fi, water, heating, firewood and communal taxes. For shorter rental periods, the Owners can provide an all inclusive rental price.
The cottage can be leased on a rolling 3 month contract. Not available during July and August. The minimum stay is 3 months.

This lovely rustic cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet is only a few minutes drive to the popular town of Eymet, which provides all the restaurants, shops, supermarkets and services that you will need. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the stunning Dordogne countryside in total peace and tranquillity. The good internet connection also enables you to keep in touch with the world and carry on running your buiness/remote work activities.

Lauzanac is a small hamlet with 3 houses (2 cottages and the owner’s house). The farm is situated on a hill, close to the river Dropt. The farm is 3 km from the medieval village of Eymet.
Eymet is one of the prettiest towns in Dordogne. The town has a population of around 2,500 people. Eymet is an ancient 'bastide' - a fortified town. It was created on 28 June 1270 Louis IX’s brother. Inside the town, it retains the original grid streets, a fortified castle, the ancient rampart walls and a splendid dungeon.
Eymet is located in the south of Dordogne, and is located in the Dropt valley. Eymet offers a good range of shops, services and facilities. It has a cultural centre and cinema, a wide variety of festivals and events throughout the year (including the the Oyster and White Wine Festival and the Annual Nature Festival), as well as numerous places to eat. There is a weekly market held on Thursdays throughout the year.
In Eymet there is a public and a private nursery, as well as a primary school (bilingual) and a high school (up to 16 years).
Other transport
There is a train station in the nearby town of Bergerac. A local bus service runs between Eymet and Bergerac.
Airports
The nearest airport is located in Bergerac (30 mins). The airport provides daily flights to the UK (London Stansted) and Rotterdam; and seasonal flights to the UK (Birmingham, East Midlands, Bournemouth, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Southampton and Leeds-Bradford), Brussels, Croatia, Egypt, Malta and Majorca. One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation (and will become the security deposit for your stay). Rent to be paid in advance for reservations of 3 months. For longer rental period the rent is to be paid on the first day of each month. In addition to the rent, there is a provision of €260 per month towards the electricity, water, firewood, central heating, WiFi and communal taxes.
For shorter rental periods, an all inclusive price of €1400 is provided.
The cottage is located on a working farm. Whilst pets may be accepted (through prior agreement with the Owners), great care must be taken by the customers that the farm animals are not disturbed. Not more than two pets (either cat or dog), for a fee of € 2 per night per pet.
The cottage is located in the countryside and a car is essential.
