This Dordogne farmhouse cottage can accommodate up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Les Chênes Cottage is situated right in the countryside, close to the popular town of Eymet in the Dordogne. The cottage is located on a small farm called Lauzanac.
In the past, this cottage was a wine storehouse and it has been restored in the authentic style of the region. This cottage is an ideal place for a long term rental, where you can continue to operate your remote business or enjoy your retirement, free from noise and pollution.
This farmhouse cottage in Dordogne is available for long term rentals from September to June from €1150 per month + bills. Pets maybe accepted through prior agreement.

Les Chênes cottage is a large property, laid out over 3 floors. The cottage features exposed beams and stone walls
Ground floor
- The front door opens onto a large open plan living room with double height ceiling. The huge dining table is big enough for 10 and the sitting area is in front of the fireplace with its wood-burning stove.
- There is also a desk with high speed internet access (WiFi) and a printer.
- The kitchen is really well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, hob, oven, fridge-freezer, food processor, coffee machine, kettle and a toaster. There is plenty of cooking utensils, plates and cutlery.
- This farmhouse cottage is equipped with central heating and an open fire - the wood comes from the farm.
First floor
Off the gallery over the large living room, you can access the first of the 3 bedrooms
- Bedroom 1 comes with a double bed, 2 bedside tables and a further single bed. There is also a baby cot, a wardrobe and a cupboard. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath, wash basin and toilet
Second floor
- Bedroom 2 is located in the attic of the farmhouse and features a double bed, 2 bedside tables, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a table (that can be used as a desk). There is an en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet.
- To the left of the bedroom there is a small lounge with 2 sofas, a television with satellite UK channels, DVD player and some books and DVDs.
- Bedroom 3 comes with a double, a sofa bed (which folds out to form a double bed), a chest of drawers, built in wardrobe and a desk. There is an en-suite shower room with shower, hand basin and toilet.
Outside:
- There is an enclosed garden of about 1200m². The garden is built on 2 levels. On the first level, there is a covered terrace with a barbecue, table and chairs. Up a few steps is the second level, a large green space with a swing for children.
- To the right of this second garden area is the swimming pool (8m x 4m) open from end May to mid-September. The pool is surrounded by a security gate.

Les Chênes farmhouse cottage in Dordogne, France; is available for long term rentals between September and June. Linen and towels can be provided. There is a monthly provision of €260 towards the electricity, Wi-Fi, water, heating, firewood and communal taxes. For shorter rental periods, the Owners can provide an all inclusive rental price.
The cottage can be leased on a rolling 3 month contract. Not available during July and August. The minimum stay is 3 months.

This lovely rustic farmhouse cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet is only a few minutes drive to the popular town of Eymet, which provides all the restaurants, shops, supermarkets and services that you will need. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the stunning Dordogne countryside and to enjoy the total peace and tranquillity. The good internet connection also enables you to keep in touch with the world and carry on running your business/remote work activities.

Lauzanac is a small hamlet with 3 houses (2 cottages and the owner’s house). The farm is situated on a hill, close to the river Dropt. The farm is 3 km from the medieval village of Eymet.
Eymet is one of the prettiest towns in Dordogne. The town has a population of around 2,500 people. Eymet is an ancient 'bastide' - a fortified town. It was created on 28 June 1270 Louis IX’s brother. Inside the town, it retains the original grid streets, a fortified castle, the ancient rampart walls and a splendid dungeon.
Eymet is located in the south of Dordogne, and is located in the Dropt valley. Eymet offers a good range of shops, services and facilities. It has a cultural centre and cinema, a wide variety of festivals and events throughout the year (including the the Oyster and White Wine Festival and the Annual Nature Festival), as well as numerous places to eat. There is a weekly market held on Thursdays throughout the year.

There is a train station in the nearby town of Bergerac. A local bus service runs between Eymet and Bergerac.

The nearest airport is located in Bergerac (30 mins). The airport provides daily flights to the UK (London Stansted) and Rotterdam; and seasonal flights to the UK (Birmingham, East Midlands, Bournemouth, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Southampton and Leeds-Bradford), Brussels, Croatia, Egypt, Malta and Majorca. One month deposit to be paid at time of reservation (and will become the security deposit for your stay). Rent to be paid in advance for reservations of 3 months. For longer rental period the rent is to be paid on the first day of each month. In addition to the rent, there is a provision of €260 per month towards the electricity, water, firewood, central heating, WiFi and communal taxes.
For shorter rental periods, an all inclusive price of €1400 is provided.
The cottage is located on a working farm. Whilst pets may be accepted (through prior agreement with the Owners), great care must be taken by the customers that the farm animals are not disturbed. Not more than two pets (either cat or dog), for a fee of € 2 per night per pet.
The cottage is located in the countryside and a car is essential.
