This comfortable property comes with central heating, a good Wi-Fi connection and is well-furnished throughout. The property is laid out over 2 floors
Ground floor
- The large open plan living room encompasses a spacious lounge, dining area and kitchen.
- The lounge comes with 2 large sofas and a coffee table. French windows lead out from the lounge to the pool and garden.
- The kitchen is located off the lounge and comes fully equipped for your stay. The kitchen has an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher. There is a full set of plates, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils.
- The dining area is a lovely space with exposed stone walls and large patio windows overlooking the front of the property. The dining table can seat 6 people.
First floor
- The large master bedroom is a lovely room with exposed beams and overlooks the swimming pool and garden. The bedroom comes with a large double bed and fitted wardrobes. The en suite bathroom comes with a shower, wash basin and WC.
- Bedroom 2 comes with single beds that can be zipped together to make a King-size double bed. The bedroom has exposed oak beams, central heating and storage space. The en suite bathroom comes with a shower, wash basin and WC.
Outside
- The beautiful garden comes with a large lawn and wonderful views of the surrounding fields.
- Surrounding the pool there are plenty of sun loungers, outdoor seating and a raised dining area, with a Weber barbecue.

This stunning property in Dordogne provides very comfortable long term rental accommodation over the winter in Dordogne. With popular towns such as Riberac and Vereillac nearby, the property offers a very convenient base for exploring the Dordgne and Charente departments of France.

The village of Champagne-et-Fontaine in Dordogne France, has two main clmaims to fame. Firstly, it was the birthplace of King Philippe I of France and it was also the place where the young Charles de Gaulle spent many of his summers growing up. The village has a population of 650 people and is located in the north-west corner of Dordogne, on the border of the Charente department.
The Dordogne is traditionally divided into 4 parts: Black Perigord in the South East (on account of the black truffles and dark forests), Purple Perigord around Bergerac (on account of the wine and grapes); White Perigord in the centre (around the capital of Périgueux, on account of the limestone buildings and plateaux); and Green Perigord in the North, where Champagne-et-Fontaine is located. The area gets its nickname from the dense forests and fields that dominate the local countryside.
The Dordogne is famous for its gastronomy, especially its Black Truffles, foie gras, Bergerac wines, chestnuts, walnuts and wild mushrooms. The local Périgueux sauce which is used in a lot of traditional dishes, is made from a reduction of white wine, carrots, shallots, veal stock and diced truffle.

There is a train station in Perigueux, which has a regional services to Bordeaux and Limogues. Both Limogues and Bordeaux offer connections to the TGV routes.
