The nearby town of Carpentras and the city of Avignon, offer a greater range of supermarkets and services. The apartment is ideally situated for exploring the sites of Provence, with beautiful villages such as Gordes, Roussillon, L'Isle-sur-Sorgue and Ménerbes all within striking distance.

The apartment is on the first floor and laid out on one level. There is 45m2 of living space, plus a small balcony at the front of the apartmen. The apartment has a high ceilings with exposed beams and has lovely views over Mont Ventoux. There is a good Wi-Fi connection (around 100mbps) and the apartment is heated through efficient electric radiators connected to solar panels.
- The open-plan living room includes a comfortable lounge area with large sofa, armchair, coffee table and flat screen TV. The large front windows make this a very light and bright space.
- The kitchen is fully-equipped with an oven, gas hob, washing machine, microwave, espresso machine, kettle and plenty of storage space. The apartment has a full set of plates, cutlery and cooking utensils.
- The bedroom comes with a standard-sized double bed, bedside cabinets and a wardrobe.
- The bathroom has a shower, WC and wash basin.

- In front of the apartment, there is a lovely sunny terrace with a small table and chairs. This is the perfect place for a morning coffee.

The apartment is available for long term rentals between October to April. There is a monthly provision of €125 towards the electricity, water and Wi-Fi. The Owner\'s solar panels provide cheap electricity for the apartment. Pets may be considered, although a mandatory end of stay clean of €150 will apply. Minimum stay is normally 3 months.

This comfortable apartment in the village of Villes-sur-Auzon, provides cost-effective accommodation in Provence for a couple or single traveller. The apartment is equipped with everything you need and the local village offers a good range of facilities. For cycling enthusiasts, you couldn't be closer to Mont Ventoux and there is a range of excellent cycling routes nearby. There is a regular bus service from Villes-sur-Auzon to Carpentras (and trains from Carpentras to Avignon), so it is perfectly possible to live in this location without a car (although one would be preferable for exploring the local region).

The apartment is located in the picturesque village of Villes-sur-Auzon, 40 minutes east of Avignon. The village has several restaurants, a small supermarket, grocery store, bakery and several other shops. There is a winery within a 5 minute walk. There is also a communal swimming pool in the village (open July and August), tennis courts and a popular market on Wednesdays. The village is surrounded by vineyards and lavender fields and there is a lake for wild swimming 5 km away.
The nearby Mont Ventoux, is the highest mountain in Provence, with an altitude of 1,910 m and is the scene of one of the most grueling climbs in the Tour de France cycling race. Every year there are amateur races to climb the mountain.
Villes-sur-Auzon is well-located to explore all the sites of Eastern Provence, including
- the hilltop village of Gordes, recently voted the most beautiful village in the World;
- the market town of L'Isle-sur-Sorgue, with its canals, craft shops and weekly market;
- the stunning village of Roussillon, famous for its ochre coloured cliffs and buildings;

- the stunning city of Avignon, perched on the banks of the Rhône and home to the Palais-des-Papes, the Pont d'Avignon, a large arts festival during the summer and a popular Christmas market in the winter.

Other transport
There is a regular bus service between Villes-sur-Auzon and the nearby town of Carpentras. From Carpentras, there is a train service to Avignon. To the south of Avignon, there is a TGV train station, with quick trains up to Paris, down to Barcelona and across to Nice.
